Micro Optics and Multi-Element Optics

OPTIKRON has specialized in the production and development of micro optical components and complex optical assemblies. One specialty is the manufacturing of customized micro prisms from 0.3 mm to approx. 8 mm with highest precision and customized coatings. They are mostly used in medical applications, endoscopes, laser systems and measuring devices. Additionally, OPTIKRON has special capabilities for designing and manufacturing complex optical groups, multi-element optics and opto-mechanical assemblies. Miniaturized objectives, beam splitter and mirror assemblies of multiple elements with high precision for endoscopes and laser systems are examples for products manufactured in this field. Additionally, OPTIKRON manufactures various types of light tunnel and reflector units for beam homogenization in laser and LED applications for medical and beauty applications. So will be generated complex modules for homogeneously illuminated areas at the exit, which are defined by the size and shape.

Optical Coatings and Thin-Film Optics

Our coating department offers customized thin-film optics and coating services for customer’s optics. Especially for processing small and miniaturized components special processes and capabilities are available. For generating optimal coatings, which are often essential for precision optics, we are using our extensive experiences and modern software for developing coating designs and manufacturing coatings with plasma-ion assisted evaporation processes in latest coating machines. The processes are generating coatings with improved characteristics and allow the manufacturing of a wide range of coating types with high optical performance. 

Micro Cameras, Vision Systems Digital Microscopes

OPTIKRON’s micro cameras and vision systems are optimized for applications in which it is important to have imaging systems with smallest sizes in combination with highest image quality. In these miniaturized modules are used smallest sensors together with especially for them optimized optics. Our currently smallest camera has a size of only 1.8 mm in diameter. Our small and high-integrated camera modules are available in different product-lines as standard modules or as customized products as well. Therefore, OPTIKRON is also a partner for customized systems and modules in the field of miniaturized vision systems and imaging devices. Key applications for these solutions are endoscopy, microscopy, machine vision and automation, metrology and inspection, bioscience and analytics, defense and many more. Our standard micro cameras can be integrated into customer’s devices or can be used as standalone system with functions of a miniaturized microscope, an endoscope or for observing and analyzing conditions, situations and processes.

Digital Microscopes

OPTIKRON’s digital microscopes are based on micro cameras with HQ optics and optimized illumination. So are resulting very compact devices for a flexible use in industries and laboratories. The “i-C” devices from OPTIKRON are professional digital microscope which can be used with a PC, tablet or smartphone. Thanks to their innovative modular concept, these devices can be used flexibly, both stationary and mobile, and their configuration can be easily changed for different applications. As accessories are working-platforms available which can be designed and created for customized applications such as measuring, inspecting and processing of parts and miniaturized components.
