Bte Bedampfungstechnik GmbH and Born Coating GmbH, or Bte Born, are specialists in thin film coating solutions. We have been offering thin-film technology for challenging applications for over 30 years. Our core expertise is the custom coating of optical components for technical applications.

With a broad portfolio of vacuum coating systems using a wide range of technologies, we develop cost-effective, high-quality coatings that are precisely adapted to our customer‘s products and their specifications. Our thin dielectric and metallic coatings allow high-precision adjustments of optical surface characteristics.

With our 29 vacuum coating systems, also in sputtering technology, we are ideally positioned for the introduction of large series with rapidly increasing demand and highly repeatable results. With them, we cover the entire process chain: from consulting to conception and development, procurement of substrates and optimal thin-film coatings to mechanical processing and packaging. For the analysis of optical coatings according to current standards or customer specifications, we use state-of-the-art measuring and testing methods.
