New CAS 140D spectroradiometer for challenging solid state lighting measuring tasks
05 September 2017, 12:30 pm – OptoIndex

Munich, September 2017 – At LpS Bregenz 2017, taking place from September 26 to 28, Instrument Systems will show solutions for actual challenges in light measurement. In co-operation with TÜV SÜD, on September 28 the company will participate in the parallel LpS symposium, holding a lecture with focus on SSL measurements and its legal regulations in the EU.

During the exhibition, Instrument Systems will present a test setup for larger SSL light sources and luminaires, consisting of an 1 m integrating sphere ISP 1000 and the new high-end CAS 140D array spectroradiometer. The 4th generation of the proven CAS 140 series by Instrument Systems has been launched just recently. Thanks to sustainable technical optimizations, it offers even more versatile applications compared to the predecessor CAS 140CT.

Due to its improved optical and mechanical design, the latest instrument is not only more functional, but smaller and easier to integrate into existing measurement environments. The automatic accessory identification enables quick and easy changing of a wide range of measurement adapters and ensures that only currently valid calibrations are used. This leads to high process reliability in production and laboratory. The CAS 140D is suitable as reference instrument in national calibration laboratories as well as for the use in continuous production. Together with a wide range of accessories the array spectrometer turns to a system solution for nearly every possible spectroradiometrical and photometrical measuring task.

Dr. Đenan Konjhodžić, senior application engineer at Instrument Systems, will give a lecture on "Solid State Lighting Measurements – From Basics to Recent Developments". Starting with basic know-how and the standards of SSL metrology, he will present the
well-established measuring methods with goniophotometers and integrating spheres. An important focus will be the European legal regulations when introducing lamps and luminaires in the market. The lecture will take place on September 28, at 9:30 at Festspielhaus Bregenz (Saal Bodensee).
